Essential Oils for Stomach Ache & Upset Tummy Roller Bottle
QUICK SUMMARY

Essential oils for stomach ache are one of our favorite natural remedies to keep ready for occasional tummy troubles, especially when kids feel uncomfortable and you want something simple, gentle, and easy to use.

This upset tummy roller bottle combines peppermint, thyme, cardamom, clove, ginger, and caraway essential oils in a carrier oil for a convenient, pre-diluted topical blend. Roll it over the abdomen and massage gently in clockwise circles when nausea, cramping, gas, travel stress, or unusual foods leave the stomach feeling unsettled.

Because it is already diluted in a roller bottle, this remedy is practical for home, travel, diaper bags, purses, and even grandma’s house. Use quality essential oils, choose a carrier oil your family tolerates well, and keep it away from eyes, mucous membranes, and broken skin.

It’s no fun having a stomach ache. And when your kids are the ones feeling uncomfortable, you want to help quickly with something gentle, natural, and ready to go. This essential oil for stomach ache roller bottle is one of the tummy remedies we like to keep on hand for those “my belly hurts” moments that seem to show up at the worst possible time.

Because this blend is diluted in a carrier oil, it’s easy to use for family tummy troubles. And because it’s made in a roller bottle, you don’t have to pull out six different essential oils in the middle of the night, while traveling, or when one of the kids is already feeling uneasy.

Make up a few of these ahead of time and keep one in your purse, diaper bag, travel kit, or bedside drawer. This is especially helpful when the stress of travel, a change in routine, or unusual foods leaves someone with a little tummy upset. Keep essential oils for upset tummies at home for sure, and tuck an extra roller bottle at grandma’s house, too!

Essential Oils for Stomach Ache

It’s so important to start with high-quality essential oils for an upset stomach, as well as a good carrier oil. Essential oils are concentrated plant medicine, so purity and proper dilution matter. For easy application, we like these 10 ml glass roller bottles from Amazon!

This blend brings together some of the most trusted oils for occasional tummy discomfort. Peppermint cools and comforts, ginger warms and settles, cardamom and caraway are classic digestive oils, and thyme and clove add strong plant-based support when the belly feels off.

  • PeppermintPeppermint essential oil was proven to help (1) postpartum and post-operative moms reduce nausea levels. It has also been linked to relief from IBS symptoms, which is one reason peppermint is such a popular choice for an upset tummy.
  • Thyme – Research on thyme essential oil shows antibacterial benefits that can even combat strains commonly connected with foodborne illness. If the stomach ache is tied to microbial exposure, thyme may be a helpful part of the blend.
  • Cardamom – The gastroprotective and digestive benefits of cardamom essential oil are well documented and have been valued for centuries. From proven ulcer support in research (2) to its traditional use for nausea, gas, and stomach cramps, this is a must-have oil for gut health.
  • Clove – While clove essential oil is most often thought of for oral health, those benefits extend further into digestive wellness as well. It is a strong oil, so a little goes a long way in this diluted roller bottle recipe.
  • Ginger – The historic power of ginger to ease digestive upset is legendary, and for good reason. Ginger is one of the most trusted plants for nausea, queasiness, motion-related tummy trouble, and general digestive discomfort.

Together, these essential oils work harmoniously to create a practical remedy you can reach for quickly. The following roller bottle blend uses our favorite essential oils for stomach aches to help relieve occasional cramps and nausea and get you feeling better as soon as possible!
