Most people have no idea that they have a magnesium deficiency because many of our natural sources of magnesium are gone, and our lifestyle is further depleting it. Sugar, caffeine, alcohol, stress, and sleeplessness are bad habits that use up our magnesium.
To make matters worse, a growing number of people are developing difficulty in absorbing the magnesium from the foods that they eat.
Do you ever lie awake at night, legs twitching and restless, wishing for just one peaceful stretch of sleep? Or maybe you carry the weight of sore muscles and aching joints through your day, praying for relief.
You’re not alone. And often, the missing link is surprisingly simple: magnesium.
And applying magnesium oil on your skin increases absorption, and below, I show you how easy (and budget-friendly) it is to make your own magnesium oil – a natural spray that you can use to raise your magnesium easily and inexpensively.

The Hidden Deficiency No One Thinks About
Most people don’t realize they’re running low on magnesium. Yet deficiency shows up in the exact struggles so many of us face:
- Restless Leg Syndrome that robs you of rest
- Sleep issues that leave you weary and drained
- Muscle aches and joint pain that slow you down
Magnesium is essential for over 300 processes in the body, including steady heart rhythm, healthy nerves, strong bones, and energy production. But today, our natural sources of magnesium are depleted. Stress, caffeine, alcohol, sugar—even lack of sleep itself—all strip it away.
And to make matters worse, many of us have difficulty absorbing magnesium from the food we eat.
Why Magnesium Oil?
The Lord designed our bodies to function with balance, not constant struggle. He we believe that He gave us natural tools like Magnesium to help restore that balance when life depletes us.
Yes, supplements have their place here. And if you’re looking for a multi-form magnesium supplement for a total body magnesium deficiency or chronic systemic issue like sleep disorders, we use Mag10.
Magnesium oil is best for more localized relief: restless leg, muscle aches, cramping, joint issues.
And one of the simplest, most effective ways to replenish magnesium in these problems is through the skin. Transdermal magnesium oil allows your body to absorb exactly what it needs—no digestive struggles, no expensive treatments.
This is why people everywhere are turning to magnesium oil spray:
- Calms restless legs at night
- Relaxes tight, sore muscles
- Supports deep, restorative sleep
- Soothes joint pain and stiffness
The easiest thing to do is buy Pure Magnesium Oil Spray that is not filled preservatives and toxic chemicals. And that’s perfectly fine for most people. But if you’d like to save money, make your own and be able to customize it with essential oils, then my recipe below is for you!

Homemade Magnesium Oil Spray
Your body needs the proper level of magnesium for so many things, and this is a great way to get started, especially if you want to alleviate muscle pain, restless leg and get better sleep. It’s good to use 5 – 10 squirts of the spray daily.
We added lavender and Roman chamomile to our recipe because essential oils increase the absorption rate of products we put on our skin, and they include a wide variety of healing benefits—especially for people that want to get into a parasympathetic “rest and digest” state to sleep better and reduce inflammation.
The essential oils are optional, but give them a try if you have them on hand and see which you like better: with or without aromatherapy.
Here’s how easy it is to make your own…

It may sting or tingle on your skin a bit. That’s normal. And that should decrease as you continue to use the spray. Some people add it to a detox bath, but just be careful to not get any in your eyes.
Restless legs, sleepless nights, aching muscles… these struggles don’t have to define your days. Often, they’re just signals that your body is crying out for what God intended it to have.
Magnesium oil is a simple, natural way to honor your health, care for your body as His temple, and take another step toward the abundant life you were created to enjoy.
