Fill in the Gaps Nuts

Supplies

  • Mixing bowl
  • 4-ounce glass jars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced OR slivered organic raw almonds , preferably sprouted
  • 1 cup organic raw pecan halves , preferably sprouted
  • 1 cup organic raw walnut halves , preferably sprouted
  • 1 cup organic raw cashews , preferably sprouted
  • 1 cup organic raw pistachios , preferably sprouted
  • 1 cup organic raw macadamias , preferably sprouted
  • ¼ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt OR sea salt, ground
  • ⅛-¼ teaspoon organic ground cayenne pepper
  • 1-2 tablespoons raw organic local honey OR Manuka honey
  • Organic pumpkin pie spice powder , to taste
  • Organic ground Ceylon cinnamon , to taste

Instructions

  • Place all the nuts in a large bowl. Add the sea salt and cayenne and stir well. Be sure to taste your mixture to ensure it has the right amount of spices and salt.
  • Cover with just enough honey to toss to mix it throughout. Continue stirring until the honey is well incorporated and barely binds the nuts.
  • Divide the mixture into twelve ½-cup portions and store them separately in 4-ounce canning jars or other small containers. To serve to a group, place it in a wide-mouth jar and serve it with a spoon.

Notes

This recipe freezes well.  Just pull it out of the freezer to thaw the day before serving.
