But in all those, the only true answer about what love is, is found in the Bible.
God loved us first! He has written us a love letter in the form of the Scriptures. And it’s not just Bible verses about love that make this clear. God’s word shows us promises of what humanity can become through the power of His love.
He has also outlined what the love for a husband and wife should look like, as well as how to love our children.
In addition to what the Bible has to say about love, God shows us how to love our enemies. The Bible is filled with direction and instruction about what love is and what it can become.
God has set is all out before us. Love is not just an emotion or strong attraction, but an action towards others to show the goodness of our God. Love is active!
